Another SMX Sydney has come and gone and what a crazy 2 days it’s been.

It was my first SMX and my first exhibition/trade show – I exhibited with my colleagues Brendon and Dejan who work with me at DEJAN SEO.

I didn’t win the iPad :( and I didn’t get to attend any of the sessions (though with better time management, I might have been able to!) but overall, SMX was good fun.

I got to meet loads of great people in the Search game and for our company, we managed to get a decent number of leads – all of which I hope to convert in the next 2 weeks or so.

Dejan spoke at the Search Engine Bootcamp sessions on Practical Link Building – a topic and speech which was well received by the audience – partly because of Dejan’s style but also because he gave out loads of great tips as opposed to being vague and general, like many speakers at these sorts of events. I recall one delegate telling me she was so glad that Dejan gave proper tips – she finds a lot of speakers are vague and keep punting their blog/website/business, sometimes in a not-so subtle manner.

But at the end of the day, it was all about SEARCH and I’m sure everyone learned something new.

It looks like we may be at SMX Sydney again next year but who knows what the future holds for DEJAN SEO.
